Linda

Linda

Linda has had a life-long love affair with animals. In addition to having many family pets while growing
up, she often brought home stray kittens, injured wildlife , and other assorted critters to add them the household, or deliver them to the proper medical facility. Over time, Linda became increasingly more involved with animal welfare work. She discovered her true passion was working with humane organizations in finding permanent , loving homes for unwanted companion animals. Although a computer consultant and archaeologist by profession, Linda has worked with many dog, cat, bird and horse welfare organizations over the years. In fact, one of her dreams came true when she co-founded Help Save Pets (HSP), a humane society in Plainfield IL. She was also appointed to a special animal welfare task force to advise Illinois government prosecutors in animal abuse cases. Linda adopted a mustang horse, who was wild-caught by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) when he was two years old. Through natural horsemanship training, Zorro became a well seasoned trail horse and Linda’s companion in doing wild horse advocacy presentations at county fairs and humane society functions. Although both are semi-retired, Linda and Zorro are still involved in seeking federal legislation for the protection of America’s wild horses. Linda brings many years of experience working with companion animals to Little Paws Pet Sitting.
Her motto is, “I treat your pets as if they were my own.” She is dedicated to providing the best possible care to your animals while you are away.
