Little Paws supports the important role of rescue groups!

MDPR (Metro Denver Parrot Rescue) specializes in finding forever homes for parrots.

Every year, hundreds of parrots are surrendered to local shelters. MDPR provides care for companion birds surrendered to shelters and finds them loving, permanent homes with adopters that they educate on the unique needs of parrots as pets.

Adopt, foster or donate to help MDPR provide care and find loving homes for these birds.

Hello,
It is a pleasure to be connecting with you on this wonderful website where so many animals are receiving great care.
I began sitting for pets as a sophomore in high school.  Since then, I’ve cared for more than fifteen breeds of dog and I’ve stayed in people’s homes for extended periods. There’s been other animals included too – a pig, chickens, horses, and cats mostly. And, it’s always been a joy. The opportunity to care for other people’s pets is a mini-retreat. I work from home, am an artist and writer, and spending time with animals is a unique gift. Walking is my favorite form of exercise!
I am the mother of two grown boys who are native to Colorado. They are both very entrepreneurial, running their own businesses to make ends meet. The boys were raised in Woodland Park and left after graduation to live in Portland, Oregon. My oldest son came back a couple of years ago to start a dump truck business and now lives in Woodland Park again!
In my life right now, there’s a dachshund, pointer, and Chesapeake Bay retriever. These are dogs living with people close to me. I’m comfortable giving medications and taking care of specific needs. I look forward to meeting and caring for your furry family!
