Vicky

My name is Vicky Chase; I came to Colorado Springs thirty-five years ago from Tulsa Oklahoma. Let me tell you about the” furry family” that runs my house. To start with there is “Chester “ the oldest of three Jack
Russell Terriers. Alice is the next in the trio and last is “Theo”. Next is the newest of our dog family, “Abby”,
she is a beautiful black lab. I think she is the one with all the smarts in the house…maybe that’s because she eats all the bread in the house. Now for the newest addition…the felines. First we have “Cush “he is a small black and white little kitty, he will reach out and give you a big kitty hug. And the babies, Simba and Nala, three months old.
I have worked in the veterinary field for many years. I have worked with large animals, as well as small
animals. I have been doing pet sitting for twenty+ years, it is such a fun way to spend your time.
I am so looking forward to being able to love and take care of your family while you are away. I am happy that you picked “Little Paws to have the privilege to serve you and your family.
Thank you

Linda

Linda

Linda has had a life-long love affair with animals. In addition to having many family pets while growing
up, she often brought home stray kittens, injured wildlife , and other assorted critters to add them the household, or deliver them to the proper medical facility. Over time, Linda became increasingly more involved with animal welfare work. She discovered her true passion was working with humane organizations in finding permanent , loving homes for unwanted companion animals. Although a computer consultant and archaeologist by profession, Linda has worked with many dog, cat, bird and horse welfare organizations over the years. In fact, one of her dreams came true when she co-founded Help Save Pets (HSP), a humane society in Plainfield IL. She was also appointed to a special animal welfare task force to advise Illinois government prosecutors in animal abuse cases. Linda adopted a mustang horse, who was wild-caught by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) when he was two years old. Through natural horsemanship training, Zorro became a well seasoned trail horse and Linda’s companion in doing wild horse advocacy presentations at county fairs and humane society functions. Although both are semi-retired, Linda and Zorro are still involved in seeking federal legislation for the protection of America’s wild horses. Linda brings many years of experience working with companion animals to Little Paws Pet Sitting.
Her motto is, “I treat your pets as if they were my own.” She is dedicated to providing the best possible care to your animals while you are away.

Karen

Karen

I was raised in a farming community in northern Illinois and have been around animals all my life.

Since moving to Colorado Springs in 1976 I have cared for the pets of my friends many times, often for weeks at a time. Most often these have been dogs and cats, but I have also cared for the occasional gerbil and rabbit.

I have enjoyed being the house sitter for Little Paws on a professional level for many years now. I am looking very much forward to caring for your home and 4-legged family members either just overnights or days AND nights.

Marie

Marie

I am the Little Paws pet sitter in the Rockrimmon and Manitou Springs area.

Denver was my home for a number of years as a young child. After having lived in Pueblo and Golden as well I came to live in Colorado Springs in 1994.

All of my life I’ve been surrounded by animals. I’ve had the pleasure of living with everything from rabbits, guinea pigs to dogs and cats.

I graduated from Pima Medical Institute in 2004 as a Veterinary Assistant. During school I’ve learned about general veterinary medicine, feline and canine behavior and how to give medications as well as vaccinations. I also did an internship at the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region.

Family is the most important thing in my life. I became a proud Mom in 2006 to my daughter Marilyn. I joined Little Paws so I can continue spending plenty of time with my daughter but also work with animals who are my great passion.

I look forward to working with you as part of the Little Paws team. Please know that your furry family as well as your home will be in good hands with me.

Sandi

Sandi

I have loved and owned animals my whole life. I had cats, dogs, hamsters, mice, fish, and a bird. I presently own two male boxers and foster a female senior boxer from HoBo Care Rescue in Denver.

I have 3 grown children who live in Chicago. I was the softball coach, girl scout cookie mom, hockey dry land coach, and former fitness instructor for 18 years. Now, as an empty nester my joy are my pups. They are my babies and I adore them!

I will care for your pets as if they were my own. I will not only take care of their basic needs, but will also give them the love and attention they deserve. They make me as happy as they make you.

I want you to be relaxed and comfortable knowing that your pets and home are being taken care of by a dependable, mature, and professional animal lover and Little Paws Pet Sitter!

Lessie

Lessie

Lessie is a transplanted Nebraska native. She moved to Colorado Springs in 2007 with her husband, David. Her love affair with animals dates back to her first kitten. Animals have always played an important part in her life.

Lessie is a college graduate and enjoys many different hobbies. She loves reading, traveling, and trying new foods. She loves dragons and has a large variety in her collection. She is the proud “Mama” to two Dachshunds and two cats. They are the joy of her life!

Lessie is the Little Paws pet sitter for the North East part of town. She looks forward to making many new furry friends. She is committed to ensuring a high quality of life and love to all animals. Unlimited ear scratches and tummy rubs without a request!

Lydia

Lydia

I just love animals, especially dogs and cats. But, as a child growing up, I also played with rabbits, turtles, hamsters, birds, the backyard chickens, horses, cows….you name it.

My first “children”, after my marriage were cats and dogs. In fact, the first house my husband and I bought came with a dog. The previous owners of the house had abandoned him, and since he never left the property, we decided, we might as well bring the dog inside. Thus, he became our first dog. We quickly enlarged our little family with another dog, and we have had dogs and cats ever since.

My husband and I have been married for 32 years, and our little furry family has brought us uncountable joy over the years. We have taken in stray cats, and have rescued several dogs from the Humane Society. Our latest rescue was a Chihuahua mix, which was born malformed. He has a fused spine and no tail, and nobody wanted it. So he became our tiny little Teddy Bear, because he reminded us of a bear cub.

I have cared and pet-sat for multiple people, including family and friends. At one point, I had 9 dogs in my home, and it was so much fun. Each had their own, unique personality, and they were a joy to interact with. My own four dogs, 2 Dachshunds and 2 Chihuahuas, enjoy their daily walks and play-time in the back yard and entertaining them is what I love doing most.

You will find in me a caring, responsible pet-sitter, who loves doing what she does, takes her job seriously, and is very dependable. Your pet’s health and well-being means as much to me as it does to you. I understand what you, the owner, and the pet go through, when you are separated, and all I want to do is put your heart at ease, and care for your furry friend

Pet Visits

Our current staff consists of 10 professional permanent pet sitters. It is our goal to have the same pet sitter available for you every time you make a reservation with us.

Our staff has undergone a criminal and personal background check before being hired. All pet sitters have either been pet owners for a long time or have worked/volunteered in the animal community. We have experience administering medication and insulin shots. During all visits your pets will get the personal attention and care they deserve. We understand each pet has a different daily routine, feeding requirements and habits, specific to their breed, age and health. We cater to all of these needs.

1. Upon arrival your pets will be greeted and cared for according to your prior instructions. Depending on your preference, we will also bring in your mail, take out or bring in your garbage can, alternate lights and water plants.

2. At the very first visit your pet sitter will text, call or e-mail you to let you know he/she has arrived. If your pet let's us, we will be happy to text you pictures to confirm your furry family is happy while you're away.

3. A care report will be left in your home each day that your pet sitter visits. This report specifies the arrival time and date, what was done during the visit and additional information that your pet sitter wants to share with you.

4. Before leaving your home your pet sitter will do a home safety check to ensure your pets and home are ready to be left alone until the next scheduled visit.

Dear Ulrike,

We want to thank you for the care you provided for our dog, Marta, while we took the train trip up Pikes Peak. It was easy to make arrangements with you via e-mail prior to our trip and we were very comfortable with the person who cared for Marta. She made friends with Marta immediately and asked pertinent questions about her. We feel very confident in recommending your service to others.

With thanks, Loretta & Larry Reeser

Jack O’Donnell Why??? If you want to sleep, or have any peace of mind while you are away…that is why! Wish you were in Tucson!

Jack O., Tuscon, AZ

Little Paws was absolutely fabulous for the three years we lived in Colorado Springs. Both Ulrike and Lessie took tremendous care of our two newfies, who adored them. Lessie earned our respect particularly after one of our beasts had a crippling spinal embolism; she went well beyond the call of duty. These people love dogs, and our dogs certainly loved them.

Winky and Chewy has been taken care by the best cat sitters in town, little paws pet sitting, for over 6 years. I wouldn’t think of leaving my darling pets with anyone else! Little paws is responsible, loving and priced reasonably. They go beyond expectations for those of us that ocassionally forget to buy kitty food before going on a long trip :-). I know my kitties are safe and in great hands when I’m out of town. They are always worried about pet safety and their well being while their humans are gone. They also do a great job with plants, mail and cleaning after pets! I love Ulrike and her staff…Winky and Chewy love Linda! Thank you for all you do for us and our pets!

Dear Ulrike:
How can I express my gratitude for the wonderful service you provide? The fact that I can leave Chester alone for several days and never once feel concerned truly makes it possible for me to take vacations (REAL vacations). And as with any parent of any kind, I can always immediately tell that he has been well cared for. Your service is fantastic.
